Today I received a lengthy series of insightful e-mails from a Bradford Price in response to my column, “Are the Homeless Noble?” Bradford is a compassionate, loving Christian who is devoted to ideals of charity. Just ask him — he’ll tell you how great he is. While he’s telling you how great he is, he’ll drop, sort of incidentally, that he’s an avowed communist who wishes to be very generous with your earnings — and he’ll even go so far as to tell you how very happy he is with the great job Obama is doing running the country.
I mean, seriously, how do you argue with somebody like that? I wouldn’t test Bradford’s prose on animals; it would be cruel. So I’ve excerpted his greatest hits here.

Subject: Phil — You are an idiotYou haven’t a friggin’ clue you wannabe elitist. You over simplify a rather complex problem, don’t you? Your ugly self-regard, sense of importance, and ego emanates through your entire piece of sleazy journalism. Have you ever spent a day with a homeless person? Have you ever been homeless yourself? If you answered no to either one of these questions, what makes you think (other than your un-stroked self-focused ego) that you have any qualifications to frame this issue through your biased lens for public consumption?
If you consider yourself a Christian, remember — how you judge others is exactly how you will be judged someday when you stand before the Father! Christ also said, whatever you did for the least of these (homeless, widows, orphans) you did for me. Grow up and stop worrying so much about yourself, and consider those less-fortunate around you. You are only on this planet a very short period of time. Stop collecting materialistic ideas & toys in your life and instead find a way to give away something life sustaining to others. Your distasteful judgements of the ‘least of these’ are repugnant. Even if your health is good presently, I know you know folks that have already departed this world and didn’t take anything to the other side that they collected while they were here with them on that next journey.
…There’s quite a difference between ‘righteous’ anger and ‘self-righteous’ anger. Your journalism is bigoted and self-absorbed to say the least. I’ve worked closely with the homeless in the past and I also happen to live at the higher end of the economic food chain. Do you have any knowledge about the topic that you write of or did you have to meet a deadline to get your paycheck this week? And I emphasize ‘your’ paycheck.
Why don’t you take ‘your’ paycheck and do something worthwhile with it, like donating it to a group of your choice that combats homelessness. Or do you think your pecuniary tax dollars are sufficient to solve this problem alone? …Why not get out of your critical journalistic chair and do something legitimate about it. Why not become part of the solution, rather than another layer to the problem!
Oh and by the way Phil, I do consider myself a Christian. One willing to call out a Pharisee, while protecting those least among us that probably don’t have access to a computer to read the rantings of a self-absorbed journalist
…Your entire article is shameful and hate-inspired, and financially induced.
…My anger is not intended for my benefit, rather to benefit others much less fortunate. That is righteous anger Phil, not self-motivated or self-righteous anger. Your article is discriminatory towards the desperately poor and oftentimes mentally challenged. If you will recall, it was during the Reagan administration that many of the mentally disabled were released to the streets in an effort to save public money. How’s that working for us?
…Are you proud of this prize-winning journalism that only adds to the ignorance and overall paranoia of homeless victims? I hope you never become homeless or disabled Phil in your lifetime, or are you sure that you’ve got that fully covered?
With all due respect Phil, I am not obsessed with the other people’s financial situations except when people like yourself use it in a manner to stigmatize the “smaller” people in this world.
I have no issue redistributing the earnings of others, because that is how government and society operates. It has operated this way for thousands of years. And guess what, whether you realize it or not, you’ve have been the recipient of the benevolence of others for most of your life…
…I just did a search on WND of the articles you’ve recently authored. I realize now Phil that you are nothing more than an unrepentant gadfly journalist. You are an expert in nothing, and an opinionated bigot about everything. It’s amazing to me that you actually get paid for your journalism. Every one of your articles are laced with middle-aged frustration and anger. Wow, how impressive! You are definitely not a happy person Phil which is clearly reflected in your work, regardless of any opinion you may hold to the contrary.
Keep polluting the airwaves with your journalism and bashing the homeless…
…It’s fine with me if you want to further line your pockets by posting our e-mail exchange on your for-profit website, but lay off the homeless with your remarks. They don’t have the luxury of reading your remarks on a computer like you and I do, and responding to them. The homeless that I have worked with in the past are genuinely good people with their human dignity intact going through an unfortunate life experience (they weren’t born homeless) — divorce, lost employment, some form of addiction, forgotten veterans, mentally disabled, etc…
…Don’t be afraid to part with some of your money Phil, it might actually be healthy for you. Remember sharing is a virtue and the opposite of hoarding. Those little nuggets taught to you by your parents will only help you in life.
I definitely voted for Obama, and quite pleased with his efforts thus far [emphasis added]. I have to run off to a meeting right now. I wish you all the best in life Phil…
Have you ever noticed just how obsessed with material possessions are those people who demand that you be less materialistic? Bradford is, sadly, typically of the unhinged libs who want so dearly to take what others have earned, all while telling you how generous and benevolent they are.
