subject: Knowledge base?“Increased outbreaks of preventable childhood diseases will continue to rise accordingly. The purpose of vaccines is to encourage a “herd immunity” that creates a hostile climate for a given disease. Releasing into a vaccinated population a sub-population of unvaccinated individuals helps those diseases take root once more. Once established, they are more likely to mutate, endangering the entire community.
The irresponsible parents who harm their own children – and their neighbors’ kids – through this negligence will continue to do so regardless of the truth. We must conclude they care more about their opinions than they do about facts.”
What statistical facts support your statements above? Is this conjecture or fact? Both sides of these arguments have their zealots. Put the “science of vaccines” aside in your research for a moment and look at the statistical proof of immunization being effective. Sorry sir, it is not there. Myth. The risk factor to any individual with forced vaccine is statistical however to the individual. You may play Russian roulette with yours if you wish.
As to my rights as a parent, I have fought forced immunization and won every year. The law currently protects my freedom from the insanity of poor and risky science. As a free man you may do as you wish, but do not force your limited and misinformed view on the rest of us. With knowledge and true understanding, you might find it is you who are irresponsible and negligent. Sorry sir these words are blunt but they are your words.
Lastly, it is with fertile natural circumstances into which pathogens breed. Yes, they are more likely to mutate, endangering entire communities. Vaccine however, is not the answer to these conditions. Change or avoid this fertile field and you have no need of weird science.
It is said the truth will set you free…keep an open mind… truth is out there.
Please do not enslave me or mine with half truths and limited knowledge.Regards,
Mercer King
I’m sorry, Mercer, I can’t hear you. I’m too busy “enslaving” people with things like scientific method and honesty.

I simply can’t understand the “anti-science” movement, particularly as regards immunisation. For crying out loud, have people forgotten smallpox? I sport a scar on my arm – the legacy of the world ridding itself of this disease, thanks to immunisation.
Those who refuse to immunise their children do so on very spurious grounds, and they rely upon the rest of us (who do immunise our children) for protection.
All I can say is, well said Phil.
I like how Mercer came to your personal website and said that you shouldn’t express your own opinion.
